I received my undergraduate degree in Environmental Sciences from Pakistan and my MS in Environmental Science from State University of New York, College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF) as a Fulbright Scholar. Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Environmental Science with a specialization in Environmental Communication and Participatory Processes.

My research interests fall in the following three categories:

Environmental Data Science
Environmental monitoring and modeling of big data with a special focus on crowdsourced water quality and quantity data

Environmental Communication
Social and traditional media analysis using socio-ecological network analysis (SNA) and content analysis

Environmental Psychology
Understanding pro-environmental behaviors and risk perceptions through socio-psychological models (such as agent-based models (ABM)) and behavioral change models and theories
